01. What is IDO?

IDO is a platform that connects small businesses with the consumers in their local communities by offering them access to essential financial services, like banking, bill payment and money transfer, in addition to the physical products offered by the merchant. Our platform is a win-win for both consumer and merchant as it provides convenient access to essential services to the consumers and increases foot traffic for the merchant.

02. How does IDO work?
ANSWER:

Consumers are offered No Fee checking accounts with VISA debit cards that allow them to shop anywhere VISA is accepted, IDO Affiliate merchants can accept payment from Member Consumers with No Interchange Fees and Consumers who do not have Smart Mobile Phones can access their accounts to deposit/withdraw cash, pay bills and send money, through specially designed terminals provided to the Merchants.

03. Do I need a bank account to join?
ANSWER:

NO! Our Mission is to provide basic transaction banking services to those consumers who currently are unbanked. If you have an existing bank account you will find our No Fee account to be a better choice.

04. I am a small merchant. How can IDO help me?
ANSWER:

Our platform is designed specifically to help small merchants compete against the big box stores - particularly if you are not currently accepting any form of electronic payments. Talk with an IDO Small Business advisor to find out all of the benefits of connecting with us.

05. I don't have a smart mobile phone or Internet connection. Can I still join?
ANSWER:

Absolutely! In fact, the IDO platform was designed specifically with you in mind. We wanted to insure that no one would be left behind simply because they could not afford expensive mobile phone plans and equipment costs. There are two ways you can join; Call us or visit any IDO Affiliate Merchant.

07. I need to send money overseas; how does that work?
ANSWER:

Your IDO account must first be approved for overseas transfers. Once approved, you can send money to almost any country in hundreds of currencies at highly competitive exhcnage rates. When you're ready to send, you can use your smart mobile phone or visit an IDO Affiliate merchant and make the transfer there.

08. Is the IDO VISA card a credit card?
ANSWER:

No. The IDO VISA card is a debit card which is tied to the balance in your checking account. Our goal is to help you save money and manage it wisely to establish a credit score or to improve your exisiting score so that you can get approved for credit cards.

09. Can I use the IDO VISA Debit Card at stores that are not affiliated with IDO?
ANSWER:

Absoutely! And by using your IDO Debit cards you'll be gaining valuable loyalty points that you can redeem for cash or goods and services, like Mobile Air Time top-ups.
